Please be advised that as of Monday July 25 2011 the corner of 36th street and 11th avenue will be blocked due to construction on the new # 7 train platform.
If you are picking up equipment from our 525-w.36th street location (Lighting department) entrance will now be from 10th avenue.
W.36th Street between 10th and 11th avenues will now be a 2-way street for the next year or when construction is completed.

We have updated our Arriflex Alexa Camera's. Alexa can now shoot 60FPS @ 4:2:2 40FPS @ 4:4:4

received the first Arriflex Alexa to our inventory.
This is the first of many that we have purchased and look forward to offering to our growing and diverse clientele.

CANON EOS C300
The body of the camera is light compact and designed to be handheld with a detachable hand grip that can control the camera. The unique design is very easy to hand hold. The camera’s 4″ LCD screen and audio interfaces are also detachable. The LCD screen attachment can be positioned in many different locations and rotated for better viewing. It also features full menu control audio control and two XLR inputs. The LCD unit connects to the camera with two cables giving it a lot of placement flexibility. The rear of the camera also has a small LCD panel which features camera status info such as frame rate shutter and ISO. Dials on the back of the camera and hand grip can quickly switch through these settings.
The camera has two CF cards slots and records in 50 Mbps 422 8-bit MPEG2 compression. Video can be recorded to either card or both at the same time for redundant recording. Video resolutions and frame rates include 1920×1080 at 23.98p 29.97p and 59.94i fps. Additionally a true 24p mode is available for those doing film outputs. In 1280×720 mode frame rates from 1-60p are also available for slow motion. All of these signals can be sent out over HD-SDI or HDMI which gives you an uncompressed 8-bit signal. The camera also has genlock timcode and LANC connections for multi-cam operation and remote control. A WiFi port is also available and with an additional accessory you can control the camera with a tablet.
PMW-F3 SUPER 35 HD CPMW-F3 SUPER 35 HD CAMCORDER
The PMW-F3L camcorder is part of the CineAlta 24P family of digital cinema products. It offers native 23.98P recording which in combination with advanced creative features such as selectable gamma curves makes this camcorder ideal for cinema production.
The PMW-F3L camcorder offers a wide array of recording formats for multiple content creation applications. Scanning mode is switchable between 1920 x 1080 1280 x 720 and 1440 x 1080 resolutions. Frame rate is also selectable from interlace and progressive - 59.94i 50i 29.97P 25P and native 23.98P
Key Features:
- Newly developed Super 35mm CMOS Image Sensor with a shallow depth of field high sensitivity and excellent signal-to-noise ratio.
- Supplied with a PL lens mount adapter to allow flexible use of 35mm cinema lenses.
- Uses the same MPEG2 Long GOP Codec and SxS recording media (SxS PRO and SxS-1A) as the rest of the XDCAM EX family for full 1920x1080 HD Recording utilizing the "ready-to-use" XDCAM EX file-base workflow.
- Offers a powerful 'Slow & Quick Motion' function - commonly known as over-cranking and under-cranking in film shooting
- 3G-SDI and Dual-link output of 1080 p 4:4:4 RGB video up to 30p or 1080p 4:2:2 video up to 60p allowing for a seamless workflow for high-end content creation with HDCAM-SR series products.
- S-Log gamma mode allowing users to flexibly adjust captured images as they wish in the post-production process.
